Signed first “Public” edition (print number not stated) hardcover copy of Fire of Love: For Students of Life, For Teachers of Yoga by Aadil Palkhivala (Innerworks Company, 2008). Previously published in 2006 exclusively for yoga teachers, amended here for use by teachers and the general public. Illustrated. This is a hard-to-find yoga/spirituality/meditation/philosophy book aimed at linking the ancient history of yoga with the modern Western version of the practice. Jacket protected in a new (removable) archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges, including some creasing and chipping. Boards are straight and clean but with bumped corners. Very slightly cocked spine with a few instances of visible binding material in gutters, though binding remains firm on the whole. Glue from the binding process has discolored hinges a bit. Some sparse underlining and margin marks throughout. See photos for condition. Shipped via Media Mail. Sold as-is.
